Details about this class
Hello!
I'm so glad to hear you are interested in the practice of Yoga and Meditation! This 5,000-year old practice focuses on physical, mental and spiritual disciplines aimed to calm and still the mind. Ultimately to help us better manage our stress through different relaxation techniques and to create balance in the body by building strength and flexibility.
This is a cross-listed class, meaning the course will be taught as a hybrid of Gentle Yoga and Meditation, incorporating the postures of yoga with the techniques of meditation. Appropriate modifications and options will be provided to meet the individual fitness levels of students. Please be prepared to practice both yoga and meditation each class.
This class meets twice a week remotely via Zoom and class attendance will be taken. Final grades will be determined by attendance points and a Final Reflection Paper that is due at the end of the term.
