Details about this class
This is an online asychronous class with no scheduled meetings. The only required materials purchase is an electronic course packet, which costs less than $15. The course is largely self-paced to allow students the freedom to complete activities at times that best fit with their schedule. The course is divided into two halves with two main deadlines: one near the course midpoint and another just before finals week. Activities for each half of the course must be completed by the respective deadline. Activities include various discussions and quizzes throughout the term, and a final reflective essay at the end of the term. The instructor will keep tabs on discussions that are submitted throughout the term and grade them in a timely manner. Discussions center around case studies. Students are asked to analyze the ethical/moral aspects of the case studies and provide a recommendation about what should (or should not) be done in each case.
Technology
Requires a stable internet connection with sufficient bandwidth and up-to-date software compatible with D2L Brightspace.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
