• This course is eight weeks long.
• It starts (Week One) on Monday June 23.
• It ends (Week Eight) on Friday August 15.
• There will be a module to complete online each Week.

I've made a small Q&A section for you below:

Question: If this class is fully online, will you (the Instructor) still be available to help me with my questions?

Answer: Although this particular choice (CRN#32138) is fully online with no required weekly meetings, I will still be here for you!  I will be available using your preferred method (such as Email, Zoom, Phone, etc), and always glad to help.  I want this class to minimize stress, and provide maximum flexibility, options, and support to help you succeed.

Question: Since the course is fully online, does this mean that I will need to rely solely upon a textbook for course instruction material?

Answer: I also provide carefully crafted online resources and course elements designed to support you.  These include high-quality Instructional Videos, all personally created by me (and available to you 24/7).  I will personally be available to help you as well.

Question: Do you have any information you can share about your personal approach to teaching this class?

Answer: I want all my students to truly enjoy their learning, feel extremely valued and respected, and see how Statistics is relevant and meaningful within our modern real-life experience.  As your Instructor: I am ALWAYS on your side.  You can count on me to work with you as a unique and individual student, and to accommodate whatever circumstances and challenges you are handling in your busy life.  I will go the extra mile for you, in order to help you succeed and achieve your goals.

Question: How expensive are the book and calculator that I will need to purchase for this course?

Answer: I have good news for you, summarized in the bullet points below.  (Spoiler alert: They are free)

• We use a FREE ONLINE TEXTBOOK. A low-cost printed version is also available, for those who may prefer a hardcopy book.
• We use easy, FREE ONLINE SOFTWARE for all calculations.  I carefully show you how to access and use this wonderful software.
• There is NO CALCULATOR to purchase!

Question: What are the ordinary hardware requirements that I will need, in order to successfully take this online class?

Answer: You need regular access to a reliable internet-connected computer.  This is so you can access our course webpage daily; check email; watch streaming videos; use online software; install and run programs; download/open/save files; use Zoom to meet me (if you wish); etc.  A detachable webcam or similar device (smartphone, tablet, etc.) is also needed for our virtually proctored Zoom exams, which are described next.

Question: What about exams?

Answer: There are two exams.  Both will be proctored virtually in Zoom by me, your Instructor -- so you do not need to travel.
The dates and times of these two exams will be announced in advance, and I will be here to help you at every step.

Question: I've never taken virtually proctored exams in Zoom before.  How do they work?  What do I need to be prepared?

Answer: ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù has created a to help students be prepared. Please make every effort to attend the scheduled virtually proctored exams. If you have any concerns (such as about technology, or scheduling conflicts, or wanting in-person exams, or wishing special accommodations) then please contact me as soon as possible.  With adequate notice, alternate testing arrangements can usually be made -- and I will be glad to discuss and explore these with you.
