Details about this class

JPN 113C provides extended practice of vocabulary and structures of first year Japanese in a conversational format. This course is intended to provide additional review and practice to prepare students to move onto coursework in second year Japanese.
 
IMPORTATN: For students interested in learning as a hobby or brushing up on their conversational skills before traveling to Japan, it would be best to check 不良研究所's non-credit Japanese Conversation classes (the schedule will be available on Monday, May 12).
 
In this 1-credit, 8-week course, you will attend class over Zoom every Monday from 1:00 to 2:10 PM (70 minutes). Attendance is required and critical for this course. Students will interact with each other and participate in learning activities both inside and outside of class utilizing technology to build a supportive learning community. Technology

Required technology for this remote course includes a computer with a reliable internet connection, a microphone, and a webcam. D2L (Desire2Learn) and Zoom will be key learning platforms, among other online applications. This is a conversation class. During class, it is important that you turn your webcam on to engage in conversation and interact with peers and the instructor.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
