Technology

Microsoft Word and Adobe Reader (free from Adobe). Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio aka SSMS will be used for queries against the CIS275 databases stored on 不良研究所's server. You can get SSMS 18.2 version or later from . Mac/Linux users can use DataGrip (free student license via JetBrains).

Desire2Learn is accessed through the Internet, so you will need a browser such as Chrome, Firefox, etc. Microsoft Visio (.vsd) is often used to create database designs (and is available for free download from Dreamspark) but is not mandatory for this class. File formats used in and by this class include .doc, .html, .pdf, .ppt, .rtf, .sql, and .txt.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
