We dive right in the first week! Please be sure to have your textbook before the first day of the class. 

HEC 226 is a fast paced and dynamic class. As a 4 credit course, students should expect to spend 8-12 hours per week to meet course requirements which include reading and viewing course content including textbook, videos, online articles, and websites each week. 

There are 3 major written assignments required during the term. Assignments are required to be written in APA style. If you haven't yet purchased the Concise Guide to APA Format, please do so.

Students complete observations and interviews both for discussions and assignments. Students will need access to both children and adults for these.  Some video options are available. 

Technology

Fully online asynchronous class. Access to computer and internet needed.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
