Details about this class
This course explores the beginning of the modern world and modern societies in Europe and the United States. Examines and analyzes the visual arts to reveal some effects of societal changes, and to gain insight into our modern world.

The textbook is optional and you are welcome to use an earlier edition. If you do, please pay careful attention to the textbook images posted in class, and the content referenced in the weekly assignments. The chapter numbers are different in earlier editions.
