Details about this class
Hello. Welcome to Writing 121!
This is a fully online course which uses D2L Brightspace as the learning management system and includes two writing conferences with me via Zoom.
The theme of the course is about exploring the concept of realization (light bulb or moment of truth) in your life as well as others' lives as depicted in literature or film. You will engage through discussions, readings, a personal narrative, and by watching a film or reading a short story as well as investigating and writing a research essay.
Additionally, you'll meet with me for two writing conferences throughout the term for support and to discuss your writing skills and how to improve drafts of essays as well as offer any additional support. I hold flexible office hours, at Southeast on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or via Zoom by appointment at a time that works for you.
I look forward to having you in class, teaching and learning with you!
Warmly,
~Jocelin
