Details about this class
Hi WR 121 Students!
I love teaching WR 121 and hope that you will enjoy my class. Some years ago, I decided that there was such an abundance of open-source materials available that it was no longer necessary to use a costly textbook for this course. Therefore, I'm happy to let you know that you will not be required to purchase any textbooks or other items. Zero additional expense. We will read selections from the open textbooks listed above. Additional materials will be provided in the course site.
This is an asynchronous, online class. You will NOT be required to attend class sessions at a particular time online in Zoom or Google Meet. However, this class is not self-paced, and you will interact with other students via asynchronous, online discussions.
Here's a sample syllabus for you to look at: . I might make some minor changes before next term begins, but things will be pretty much the same. If you have any questions, please email me and I'll get back to you just as soon as I can: debra.shein@pcc.edu.
If you want to know a little bit more about me, here's some info: .
