Hello and welcome!

I'm Dr. Kelsey Kelley, and I'm so glad you're interested in my Intro Psych course! ☺️

We'll have the chance to dive into some fascinating topics together, from stress and coping to how we grow and develop into the people we are today. I hope to see you this term! :)

What does it mean for our class to be online?

This is an asynchronous online (or "web") class, meaning there are NO classes to attend, either on Zoom or in person. Instead, all coursework will be completed online. To be successful, you will need to exercise strong time management skills and keep on top of deadlines. Each week, you can expect to complete several readings, watch videos, and complete a quiz along with a couple of discussions/assignments.

Will I still be able to Zoom with the instructor for help?

Yes! Even though we won't have traditional class meetings, I am available every week for office hours! I would love to hop on a video call with you to help you understand challenging material, clarify an assignment, or whatever else might be on your mind. Please take advantage of office hours - I am here to help you :)

Do I need a textbook?

Yes. This course does have a textbook and you will need that book to succeed and complete your online work. Please click the bookstore link at the top of this page to purchase through the campus bookstore, though you may be able to find cheaper options online. Textbook details also available below:

• This is cheaper than the standard ebook option, but contains all the same material with the addition of practice quizzes
