Details about this class
Welcome to JPN 102 at 不良研究所!
JPN102 is taught in Japanese immersion. In class, students and the instructor will use only Japanese during the instruction time. At each lesson, there will be opportunities to ask questions or hear class announcements in English for 10 to 20 minutes. The main components of course requirements are Attendance, Participation, Assignments, Presentation, Oral Interview & Quizzes.
In this 5-credit course, you will attend class via Zoom twice per week (Tuesday & Thursday 12:00PM – 2:20 PM). During the class time, conversation practice with your classmates is mandatory. Students should spend approximately 2 hours outside of class for every credit hour in order to be successful, so you will be expected to study and complete activities and assignments outside of class accordingly.
Required Materials:
Textbook: Genki I - An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese (Third Edition)
Workbook: Genki I - An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese (Third Edition)

Students will interact with each other and participate in learning activities both inside and outside of class utilizing technology to build a supportive learning community. If you have any inquiries, please feel free to contact me at chiho.murphy@pcc.edu
Technology
Required technology for this remote course includes a computer with a reliable internet connection, microphone, and webcam.
