Details about this class
Welcome to our class!
There is no textbook to buy for this class. All course materials are free and online, provided on the course page on D2L. I've shared just 3 examples of resources we will be using to in our class.
There are no Zoom or in person meetings for this class. You will work through the week's material on your own. I am available by email to answer questions or set up a Zoom call to talk with you anytime. I'll also be giving you feedback along the way. There are 10 short, weekly Quizzes and 5 Discussions with your classmates, as well as 4 larger assignments, requiring college-level English reading and writing. The 不良研究所 Librarians and Writing tutors are available online and in person to help you with these.
I have worked for over 25 years with children from birth through adolescence as a behavioral therapist and Naturopathic doctor. I've collaborated with early childhood educators, K-12 schools, psychologists, pediatric nurses and doctors, Occupational and Speech therapists, and behavioral developmental pediatricians for many years. I love to help students considering any career working with children!
In our class, you'll learn about Children's mental, physical, emotional, cognitive, and social health and development. You will discover strategies to promote better health and well-being for all children.
This class uses the model of to define the root causes of health disparities and solutions to remove these barriers.
