Week One Meeting With Me
I like to begin the term by having a quick 1-1 meeting with you. Online classes can be really lonely since we mostly interact with a screen, so this is an opportunity to make a human connection.
Two weeks before our class starts, I'll email a link to my appointment calendar to select a 10-minute meeting window for us. I expect our meeting to take less than 5 minutes. If the only time you have available to meet is in the evening or on the weekend, please send me an email to schedule a time that works for you.
Course OER
Instead of a hardcopy textbook, we'll be using a collection of free Open Education Resources that are embedded directly into our course. The readings and videos being housed in our course mean that there are no other websites or books to visit- our D2L Brightspace class is a one stop (free!!) destination!
Technology
There is no additional technology required for this class.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
Online technical requirements
Please be sure to read the quick guide to Online Learning technical requirements.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
