Details about this class
COMM 100, 20572 is a fully online class. This is a survey class, so we briefly cover many sub-topics under the umbrella of Communication Studies, for example interpersonal communication, conflict resolution and media and society. There is a regular schedule each week that includes discussions, activities, and short quizzes. Ideally you will need to login and participate 3-4 times per week. Most work will be due at the end of the week on Sunday at 11:59 pm. Besides group discussions there will be a couple opportunities to work in smaller groups using tools like Hypothes.is.
Text: Communication Principles for a Lifetime, 8th edition (2022) ISBN: 9780136967927. This can be purchased through the bookstore or any other online seller or direct e-book access from the publisher.
I look forward to interacting with you during our course. The course page will be accessible the first day of the term in D2L along with the course syllabus.
Ciao for now-Aaron Nicole Kaio
